Glamping Sites in Glasgow

Eden Leisure Village began as a pocket of land nestled in the Millcroft Wood of Cumbernauld, overlooking the Summerhill fields. Des, Eden’s ‘Irish man’ & founder, had a vision to transform this area into a luxury glamping experience to allow you to come, unwind & enjoy the restful countryside; whilst only being 20 minutes from the hustle & bustle of Glasgow City Centre.

Meeting the demand of a new & relaxed feel to weddings, our Glamping site has now also developed into a rustic wedding venue. We are passionate about giving every couple a unique & personal experience. An Eden Wedding is the perfect ‘wedding in the woods’ to begin a happy life-long marriage together.

Des & his wife Janet, along with all the staff at Eden, work as a team to provide anyone who enters our grounds with a tranquil experience filled with quality facilities & a friendly environment. With yearly five-star Trip Advisor reviews, Eden continues to show excellence in all that they do.

Eden Leisure Village is a rural site surrounded by fields in the Lanarkshire countryside. If you like a bit of city action with your rural escape, this is the spot for you, as Glasgow is only a 20-minute drive away. It’s a great base for families who want to explore Central Scotland too, as Stirling and Edinburgh both have plenty of historic sights and are easily accessed by the M80 and M9 motorways.

But you don’t have to stray too far away from the site, as there’s masses to do locally too. As well as sourcing bits and pieces for barbecue meals in the supermarkets, Cumbernauld (10 minutes) has a raft of takeaways – from fish and chips to Chinese – if you don’t want to cook.

The town is also something of a gateway to nature walks and treetop rope courses in Palacerigg Country Park, and kids can wear themselves out with archery lessons and paintball battles at Cumbernauld Outdoor Activity Centre. Make sure they save some energy for time back at the site though – they’re bound to want to spend time at the play park and explore the fairy wood.

Other well-maintained site amenities include a dog park (a maximum of two well-behaved dogs please), chemical toilet disposal, a shower and loo block and baby-changing facilities. There are electric and water hook-up points too.
